Hello and welcome!
My name is Matina, and I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Zakynthos.

This place is more than my home, it’s my heartbeat. I’ve always been in love with its beauty, its sun-drenched fields, the sound of the sea, and most of all… its traditions. One of the most precious of them all is our food, the way we cook, gather, share, and celebrate around the table.

I created this experience because I don’t want these flavors, stories, and smells to be lost. Zakynthian food is not just about taste. It’s about memory, identity, and community.
And the secret? It’s always in the ingredients, and the people.

Every meal I prepare is based on what this land still offers:
🍅 Fresh vegetables from small gardens
🧀 Cheeses made by local families
🍷 Wine from old vines
🫒 And of course, golden olive oil that carries the scent of summer

I believe food connects people, and when shared with care and honesty, it becomes something unforgettable. With this little journey into Zakynthian flavors, I invite you not only to eat, but to feel the island through its roots.
